I explore the role of humans

in their environment.

My work attempts to dissolve the boundaries between figurative and abstract art.

In the compositions, figures and abstract elements merge and enter into a relationship with one another.

I am fascinated by the wild anarchy of the spaces, the logos and shapes painted on the walls, the colours of the houses and the tropical vegetation. It reminds me strongly of my childhood in Venezuela. Just like back then, the people live there as actors in their own story.

Presence is not defined by what we own. Almost like something out of another era.

I almost drove right past it. A turquoise rectangle, a door, a window. Why would there be more shapes?
